I try to find ways to capture the beauty, awe or fascination felt when experiencing a place in an image.

Have you ever seen a full moon that looks so large that you could almost reach out and touch it, then pulled out your phone camera and snapped a picture or two only to find that its representation on your screen is minuscule and fails to truly express the majesty of the moment?

Not everything can translate from our perceived sensory experience into an image that does it due justice. My goal when taking photographs is to create an image which conveys that sensory experience - the awe and beauty and presence - and tells the story of what it's like to be there and then, as much a post card to myself to remember it by as it is a snapshot to share with others.
